I am an ex-teacher who has worked with pupils of all abilities and temperaments. Since moving from teaching to the therapeutic world I have developed a process that works amazingly to build resilience, confidence and a healthy outlook to life for those who follow it.
I wish I had known about it when I was teacher so I could have used it for both staff and pupils.
Laughter Tap is a combination of two therapeutic intentions that have proved to be effective independently of each other but in my experience when combined they increase levels of focused attention, creativity, self esteem and general overall mental robustness.
Laughter tap allows individuals to feel good about themselves whilst dealing with anxiety, fears and other emotions. It is a wonderful methodology to aid pupils to deal and cope with the stresses experienced by many students during the preparation for assignments, assessments and examinations. Even though some children are not intimidated by the actual examinations they may fear the outcome or have other challenges to face at this crucial time of their life that Laughter tap can help them deal with and resolve.
Laughter Tap is a combination of Laughter Therapy and meridian tapping and can be learnt by the students so they can do it at home, at school and even during the exams.
In order to get the best outcome groups of 10-15 students can be facilitated for three thirty-five minute sessions.
